Discover Awe-Inspiring Luxurious Pastries at Angelina
Angelina Paris in NYC
Words alone cannot express the feeling you get when arriving at Angelina Paris in NYC. From the pretty storefront, beautiful boutique tea room, and impeccable service, Angelina Paris in NYC is a must-see for anyone who loves pastries and can appreciate a century of perfection.
In the early 1900s, when Paris was booming with creative minds of writers, artists, and fashion designers, a tea room was born.
Founded by a father and son team in 1903, Angelia was named after the son’s wife.
The delectable pastries created with love and perfection quickly made Angelina the hot spot for the social elite to gather.
Fast forward 100 years later, the iconic Angelina, signature pastry, Mont-Blanc, and gourmet hot chocolate, “L’Africain” are still sought after in Paris and have arrived in the United States.
Opening in November 2020, Angelina Paris has come to NYC, with a boutique tea room located on 6th Avenue in Manhattan. It is the only U.S. location at this time.
I was fortunate enough to get a glimpse inside the tearoom, taste a sought after Mont-Blanc, and warm my soul with their delicious gourmet hot chocolate, “L’Africain”.
Walk-in traffic only may leave you waiting in line to enter Angelina, but it is so well worth the wait.
The Mont-Blanc is a classic pastry created after the women’s hairstyles of the early 1900s.
French meringue is topped with a light, creamy whipped creme encapsulated by chestnut vermicelli that forms a gorgeous wrap of elegant strands.
Lucky for me, we bought the last 2 for the day.
We couldn’t leave without Angelina’s gourmet hot chocolate, “L’Africain”, a creamy, dreamy cup of chocolious.
Enjoy the Mont-Blanc and “L’Africain” together at a table set for two in nearby Bryant Park.
Watch the ice skaters, enjoy the vendors and take in an authentic afternoon in Manhattan. A perfect day in any book of travel.
